Scope: 2no. 1,250m3 tanks with Aqua-shield floating covers.

Challenges

The client had a number of existing tanks in their inventory but was short for the total capacity requirements for this new project.  It was therefore imperative that we achieve a fast delivery on the corrugated steel, with the Aqua-shield linings to follows.

The Aqua-shield Liners were the largest produced to date, and needed to be manufactured when the factory was already very busy with emergency aid work from a UN agency.  A meeting was called with the production team whom committed to working evening shifts and weekends to meet the needs of the client.

Results

Despite the very short lead time, we managed to deliver the tanks on time to meet the program of the client.  This included arranging for a dedicated vehicle to travel over the weekend to make the deadline.

The corrugated steel tanks were installed without any issues, with the Aqua-shield linings following.  The feedback received from the client was excellent, particularly the ease of installation for the Aqua-shield linings – the installation manuals were simple to follow and enabled the installation team to meet the lead times of the end user.
