Our History

Since designing the original corrugated steel water storage tank in the 1960s, Butyl products Ltd. developed their capabilities and expanded the utility of the steel water storage tanks across multiple sectors including agriculture, horticulture, landscaping, industrial, aquaculture and more.

In 2022, Butyl Products Ltd. formed a specialist division, named Butek Tanks, of dedicated technical engineers with extensive knowledge on the implementation of water storage tanks. Whether to serve as individual water retention tanks or as part of larger water supply/storage systems, our team of engineers can advise on sizes to suit capacity requirements, fittings, and installation options.

At our class leading manufacturing facilities in Billericay, Essex, we stock a wide scope of materials ranging from rubbers such a Butyl and EPDM to plastic based materials including PVC’s, Polyurethane’s, Polyethylene’s, and Polypropylene’s. Our material range combined with the expertise to form and manipulate the material utilising vulcanising, high frequency, impulse, extrusion, hot air, hot wedge, and extrusion equipment means we can modify our tank liner kits to meet all specifications and store more than just water!

From raw, influent, effluent and chlorinated water to slurry, leachate and digestate as well as chemicals such as liquid fertilisers, Glycol, Hydrocarbons and Petrochemicals we can adapt our tanks to store any liquid to suit your needs.
